Members of the U.S. military Explosive Ordinance Disposal teams keep asking CountyComm to make lightweight, non-magnetic adjustable wrenches for working on magnetically sensitive devices, and this is what they provide them. This 8-inch model is a full-size titanium wrench with a jaw opening of 2,5 cm. Six tether holes let you attach the lanyard of your choice.

Most wrenches are forged from tool steel, but It was determined that this wrench must be Titanium. It’s extremely corrosion resistant, featuring a no/low magnetic signature. Extraordinarily strong, titanium possesses a greater strength-to-weight ratio than stainless, steel or aluminum. Titanium weighs about 60% less than steel in density, producing tools at nearly half the weight of steel. This means that the wrench needed to be machined out of a solid billet of Titanium. Making an adjustable wrench in the machine shop is a lot more complicated than it sounds.
